Yu no Shima is an islet near Asamushi Onsen Hot Spring formed six to seven million years ago by volcanic activity. In mid-April it is covered in blooming dogtooth violets. Other sights include Japanese zelkova (elm-like trees) over 400years old, a red Torii (Shinto shrine archway), and a small shrine to Benzaiten. (Information Source: aptinet)

(Ferry departs when there are passengers. Trip takes ~5min one-way.)

Note: It takes about one hour, round trip, to reach the highest point of the islet (elevation of 132m).
